You can combine the appropriate form of the verb "tener" with many different words to create various expressions.  For example ask if someone was jealous (celos) you would say "¿Tienes celos?".  We are going to practice using only the words "hambre - hungry" and "sed - thirsty", but once you have mastered these examples you will be able to create many different expressions.
