Conditional
1) Express an action that you would do if something else were possible
Iría al cine si tuviera dinero. - I
would go to the movies if I had money.
2) A conditional desire
Me gustaría tomar una limonada. - I would like to have a lemonade.
3) An indirect quotation
María dijo que vendría mañana. -
Mary said that she would come tomorrow.
María decía que vendría mañana. - Mary was saying
that she would come tomorrow.
Note: In the first sentence you use the preterite tense of "decir - to tell" because the action was completed in the past. In the second sentence you use the imperfect indicative tense of "decir - to tell" because the completion of the action is not indicated.
4) Conjecture regarding the past
¿Quién sería? - I wonder who that was.
5) Probability regarding the past
Serían las cinco cuando salieron. - It was probably five o'clock when they went out.
Note: You use the preterite tense of "salir - to go out" because the action was completed in the past.
For all regular verbs you add the appropriate ending below to entire infinitive.

Note: It can get a little confusing when you are using the word "si" to mean "if". When you are using "if" you are generally constructing an "if - result" statement. By this you mean that if something does exist you will do something or if something had existed you would have done something. For example you may say "If I have money I will go to the movies." - "Si tengo dinero, iré al cine." In this case you would use the present tense of "tener - to have" and the future tense of "ir - to go". But what if you say "If I had money I go to the movies." - "Si tuviera dinero, iría al cine." In this case you would use the imperfect subjunctive tense of "tener - to have" and the conditional tense of "ir - to go".
